The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania Visits UNESCO Dar es Salaam

The Deputy Speaker of the Tanzania National Assembly Dr. Tulia Ackson Mwansasu with UNESCO Dar es Salaam Head of Office and Country Representative Ms. Zulmira RodriguesThe Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania, Dr. Tulia Ackson Mwansasu has paid a short visit to the UNESCO office in Dar es Salaam.

 

Dr. Mwansasu met with the UNESCO Head of Office and Country Representative, Ms. Zulmira Rodrigues, staff members and 28 managers of community radios, who were attending a  3 days training on leadership, management and governance of community radios at the office.

The Deputy Speaker was highly impressed with UNESCO’s work in the country and is seeking UNESCO’s support in safeguarding of intangible heritage in the country, including building capacities of local groups involved in intangible heritage preservation.
